Swedish unisex brand Eytys reveals this spring a new flagship store in central Stockholm which will offer their shoe collection as well as a curated, rotating selection of reading, ready-to-wear and interiors. The space was inspired by Japanese post-modernist Shiro Kuramata and Catalan sculptor Xavier Corbero.
“Xavier Corbero’s home had us hypnotized,” say creative director Max Schiller and architect Axel Wannberg. “It’s a delicate version of brutalist architecture where the attention to detail is extreme. That rare expression was something we wanted to accomplish with the new space”. The design of the shop on Norrlandsgatan 22 incorporates contrasting materials such as acrylic glass, aluminum and cedar wood which also reflect the brand’s design philosophy of no fuss functionality.
