Xander Zhou established his Beijing-based label back in 2007, and was the first Chinese menswear designer to be part of London Fashion Week Men’s. His designs are an exploration of boundaries between form and function and experiment with different unique materials. Often inspired by youth subcultures and gender fluidity, Xander Zhou is combining simple elegance with streetwear attitude, in the process reforming and inspiring Asian youth culture.

Liam Hodges presented his debut collection in 2014 after he was discovered by the legendary Lulu Kennedy. Influenced both by aspects of hip-hop, punk and guerrilla militia, his designs examines contemporary masculinity through detailed workwear with a strong graphic language and big, garish shapes for the norm-core man.

The Northern Irish designer Jonathan Anderson established his brand back in 2008, and was already showing his debut collection the same year at London Fashion Week. Today the label is considered as one of London’s most innovative and forward thinking brands, as Anderson is consciously mixing elements of menswear and womenswear in his designs, examining a modern interpretation of masculinity and femininity through his bold and thought-provoking silhouettes.

The young Berlin-based Korean designer Ximon Lee has already come a long way since graduating from Parsons in 2014. His highly original and immensely on-point designs made him the first menswear designer to win H&M’s Design Award in 2015. Always innovating, he is continuously making a strong impact on the industry with his layered fabrics and exaggerated shapes .

First winning the L’Oreal Professional Talent Award in 2014 and taking home the prestigious LVMH prize in 2016, African-inspired British designer, Grace Wales Bonner, is one of the most rewarded designers of the moment. Wales Bonner continuously explores issues of identity, race and gender through her elegantly wearable clothes.

JOHN LAWRENCE SULLIVAN
The ex-professional boxer Arashi Yanagawa founded the brand JOHN LAWRENCE SULLIVAN back in 2003 and has since created tailored edgy designs with both strength and personality, embodying the legendary boxer and brand namesake John Lawrence Sullivan. His garments have a powerful magnetism that originates in the concept of a masculine image that is both forceful and elegant.
