The Berlin Fashion Label Creating Intelligent Sportswear

Introducing Sample-cm, the fashion label presenting functional clothing in its humorous new campaign

“The garments work as a set of equipment that stretches the body to the limits of action spaces” – Margot Charbonnier

Sample-cm is a Berlin-based brand pushing forward sportswear with design and functionality. Created by CSM-trained Margot Charbonnier, the designer started the label in an effort to bring a fresh aesthetic to the German capital. Mixing her knowledge of fashion, sociology and art to create Sample-cm, her “Grand Bassin” collections reveal adaptable designs that include straps and even a set of instructions for the wearer, who is able to transform the pieces to suit their own needs. “The garments work as a set of equipment that stretches the body to the limits of action spaces” says Charbonnier, who since studying sociology has been inspired to rethink the act of dressing.

The sporty label caught the attention of SLEEK with its fun, new AW17 campaign that explores powerful identities, shot by photography duo Stadman Lara.
