Visiting a West Berlin Favourite in unu’s Slick E-Scooter

In light of its new release in France, SLEEK publisher Christian Bracht takes the eco-friendly unu e-scooter for a spin to Paris Bar

With 20-something temperatures finally upon us, it’s time to explore Berlin’s pavements before Autumn hits. While push-bikes might be alright for some, others among us would rather not break a sweat. If you’re anything like us then look no further than the stylish unu e-scooter. Powered by Bosch’s high-spec engine and running purely on electricity, the portable-battery-powered scooter sounds too good to be true. In light of unu’s arrival onto the French market, SLEEK publisher, Christian Bracht, took it on a test drive from our office to Berlin’s famous Paris Bar.

Taking the scenic route, the unu scooter could be spotted zipping through Mitte and across Tiergarten, passing by UdK as well as one of SLEEK’s favourite museums, C/O Berlin, before finally arriving at Paris Bar. The unu scooter proved an effortless ride, allowing Christian to soak up the sun and arrive at his destination in style.

Paris Bar is one of Charlottenberg’s favourite haunts, and it’s the closest you’ll get to Paris without leaving Berlin. (You really could be in Paris, though, as unu is newly available in France!) Renowned for fine art and fine dining, the charming restaurant is the perfect setting for a business lunch or a relaxing break from a stressful day, as Christian well knows.

After enjoying the rich offerings of Paris Bar’s à la Carte, Christian moved outside to unwind with a coffee and a leisurely read of the newspaper. Thankfully, his unu required no refuelling. Because it runs on portable batteries, this small but mighty scooter can handle 50km in just one charge. Only 42.3 km to go!

The new unu scooter combines style and comfort, with 7 new colour-ways and a super comfortable seat. Its Bosch Controller allows for the same maximum speed until the last 5% charge of your battery, and the ultra-efficient battery is recharged to 70% in just two hours! What’s more, the scooter is available for a free test drive now. Head to the unu website to take one for a spin.
