We don’t quite know how it happened, but somehow and all of a sudden in early autumn of 2009, everybody in Berlin (everybody meaning those having reached the upper echelon of style) seemed to know all about a French black raspberry liqueur named Chambord. Maybe it is due to it’s boldly cheesy faux-royal packaging, maybe because it is available at Grill Royal, one of the favorite watering holes for those more into see-food than sea-food. In any case, we don’t remember much about yesterday’s cocktail party at Hotel de Rome apart from the drinks, but those were – Chambord!
