Lazy girls rejoice! Hair stylists at the spring shows ditched bouncy blow-drys for something altogether slicker. Models were crowned with gel and pomade to create looks that ranged from nonchalant day-old hair to barnets that resembled glazed Krispy Kremes. Here we rate some of the shows who did it best.
1.The “I should have really washed it this morning” hair at Arthur Arbesser

At Arthur Arbesser in Milan, models’ tresses were slicked down at the roots and tucked behind the ears, allowing focus to remain on the colour-block collection. The extreme side-parting showed off a healthy dose of shine.
We are giving this show a Sleek grease rating of 3/10.
2. The “My housemate has used all my shampoo, again” hair as seen at San Andrès Milano

San Andrès Milano had a more textured take on hair this season. Locks were swept across the forehead and into loose plaits, making models look perfectly wind-swept. Micro-plaits were added giving the look a boho twist.
We are giving this look 4/10 on Sleek’s grease-o-meter.
3. The “My alarm didn’t go off, but have it up in a ponytail so hopefully no one will notice” look, spied at Shrimps

In London, the Shrimps cast of models sported mid-ponytails with an all over wet-look glaze to compliment the dewy make-up. The hair line was slicked down and to the side creating a glossy wave.
This style gets an excellent 8/10 for its unwashed appeal.
3. And Finally: “I have been in Berghain for 23 hours, and my hair is the least of my problems” look, as seen at Hood By Air

Hood By Air took the trend into new territory by smearing models heads in petroleum jelly. Both boys and girls had beautifully gunky crowns and faces – making this show the most surprising and creative beauty of the season. The fact that the show was sponsored by PornHub, gives us an idea of what this gooey beauty concept could represent.
HBA is awarded a full 10/10, and winner of the skankiest hair of the season, congrats!
