At the corner of Linienstraße and Kleine Hamburger Straße in Berlin Zalando and Refuge Worldwide transformed a gallery space into a hub for the streetwear community. Refuge Worldwide and Zalando’s “The Corner” not only occupied a physical space, but also created a cultural moment where streetwear, music and the creative community came together and exchange ideas and get inspired in a Berlin way.
Walking into The Corner felt like entering a curated orange world. The aesthetic was clean yet extremely eye-catching. The warm, vibrant orange created an atmosphere that was both inviting and edgy. The large entrance room, which included a large DJ booth on the back wall, created space for a dance floor: this was not just about clothes, but more importantly about culture and sharing in motion.
The layout told its own story. A bar at the back of the venue served drinks and food alongside an interactive Adidas customization station, where visitors could transform basic cool tees into personal pieces with stickers and prints. Carefully selected Zalando pieces were presented in the aisle, while a grab-and-go machine full of streetwear goodies added an element of playful interaction that perfectly matched the streetwear theme of the evening
The crowd brought the rooms to life with their looks, which ranged from underground experimental to street luxury. The focus was not only on individual pieces, but above all on how they were styled. Creative layering, unexpected proportions and an unmistakably Berlin approach were on display, making even the most casual outfit look special
The afternoon kicked off with Saint September and Shamiro’s live radio show, creating an intimate broadcast moment that drew both physical and digital listeners into The Corner’s universe. As the day transitioned into the evening, a new Energy emerged. DJ Spit and JADA SWAK took over the DJ booth. Their sets created a soundtrack that matched the crowd energy and lifted the mood even higher. The surprise live act by ShyGirl delivered exactly what The Corner promised: the unexpected intersection of music and style culture that makes Berlin’s creative scene so distinctive. Food by Tokyo Gohan provided incredibly tasty onigiris in different variations.
The Corner is not just about the clothes, it’s about the community that forms around shared creative values. That’s how streetwear culture develops through spaces like “The Corner“, where music, fashion, art and community naturally intersect.
