MYTH #1 Excessive masturbation can lead to erectile dysfunction

Masturbating excessively will not by itself lead to erectile dysfunction. Multiple studies have shown, however, that this can happen to males who rely heavily on porn. So, boys to men, stay creative and maybe try out something new !

MYTH #2 Only men masturbate

Even if this were remotely true, it would be time for change. When it comes to masturbation, unfortunately ,the media rarely portrays women’s sexuality unless it’s in service to others.

Oh, and that of course includes all non-binary people as well. Everyone masturbates!

MYTH #3 Masturbating has no health benefits

Perhaps contrary to popular belief, masturbation has plenty of health benefits such as stress relief, better sleep, muscle tension and even menstrual cramps. And that’s not even taking into account that it’s a simple, safe and fun activity, so the joy alone makes it beneficial!

MYTH #4 Masturbating is a DIY job

While we do not condone masturbating whenever and wherever, there is always a place and a time, if you and your partner (maybe partners) want to masturbate together, it can be a great way to learn what your Significant Other enjoys and for you to illustrate what you like. Masturbation is not just for you but can be a great way to try something new together as well.

MYTH #5 Masturbating will make you go blind

This might sound ridiculous these days and obviously has no science to back it up but there is still plenty of stigma and misinformation surrounding the topic of masturbation Whether you are in a safe and healthy relationship or simply bored and horny by yourself, we encourage everyone to keep the shame out and let the masturbation creation begin.
