The Power of Controversy Over Art

When speaking about her practice, choreographer and dancer, Kiani del Valle puts an emphasis on urgency. This is what she credits her need for movement. Ultimately, del Valle’s goal is to make you feel something: good or bad. She compares her passion to Joseph Beuys, detecting the similarities between them – genre independence achieved by multidisciplinary and versatile methods, to “think in a global capacity.” Wishing to achieve a similar degree of legacy in her own work, her performance pays tribute to the late artist.

Kiani wears Richert Beil coat, Vintage Christian Dior undercoat, Miu Miu bodysuit, Vintage Helmut Lang top.
