Since 2015, Berlin has played an integral part in the racing calendar for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, when the first E-Prix took place on the site of the former airport in Tempelhof. The temporary racetrack at the former airfield is firmly rooted in the history of the <\/span>Mercedes-EQ Formula E Team<\/span><\/a>, who competed in Berlin for the first time in 2019. A year later, the team won both World Championship titles at the same venue; taking top honours in both the Team and Drivers’
