\u201cIdentity for me is somewhere between the realm you can\u2019t change and the one you can choose for yourself,\u201d says photographer Tereza Mundilova<\/a>. \u201cIn the following story, I went in search of the aesthetic aspects of my nationality. With my team, we looked for \u2018beauty\u2019 in the different characters of Slavic mythology. Today, when so much in the Slavic-speaking world seems to be breaking apart, cohesion and solidarity, as well as Slavic identity, are more important to me than they have ever been. My family comes from the Czech Republic. I grew up Czech in Vienna and later moved to Berlin. I have felt most at home in New York so far, maybe because many people here come from somewhere else.\u201d<\/span>
