Lip, irreverence, front, cheek, brass \u2013 is there anything that better defines the London attitude to dressing up than any of those? Heels for girls, sneakers boys, colours and patterns in crazy clashes that fit them both. There\u2019s the breeze of bass, grime and dubstep in the air and in the caps and hoodies, the gold and prints, the glamour of the pavement up-in-yer-face.<\/p>\n

\u201cStreet couture\u201d is what you could call the essence of the attitude as well as the look \u2013 in fact, that\u2019s how designer Katie Eary refers to her outfits, which channel, distill and ennoble the above into something perfectly, radically chic. The vision of the rising young Royal College of Art\u2019s MA grad consists of tattered jeans and camouflage, iridescent shirts, hooded jackets and lurid roses in all shades of pink, and here it\u2019s modelled against a rare blue sky above the Thames.
