Lexus is kicking off the Salone del Mobile Milano<\/a> 2023 with an exhibition at the Superstudio as part of their Design Award<\/a>. The New York based artist and founder of Reddymade Architecture and Design<\/a>, Suchi Reddy, is presenting her installation “Shaped by Air”. The art piece has first been showcased at the Miami Art & Design Week 2022 and is inspired by the Lexus Electrified Sport, the car manufacturer’s vision for an all electric sports coup\u00e9 of the future. For the Milan Design Week, Reddy has advanced her work to a multi-sensory and immersive experience putting an emphasis on flawless and carbon neutral design focusing on people.<\/p>\n

The second part of the exhibition showcases the prototypes of the 4 winners of the Lexus Design Award 2023. The jury consisting of Paola Antonelli<\/a>, Karim Rashid <\/a>\u00a0and Simon Humphries, selected the creations based on the theme of “Design for a Better Tomorrow” and Lexus’ conviction of powerful design. Each project, developed together with this year’s mentors, Marjan van Aubel<\/a>, Joe Doucet<\/a>, Yuri Suzuki<\/a> and Sumayya Vally<\/a>, refers incisively to sensible and urgent issues of today’s world.<\/p>\n
