After months of renovating, the wide space and high ceilings of the Berlinische Galerie are hosting pieces of contemporary art again. Kicking off the reopening, the gallery invites the artists Julius von Bismarck<\/a>, Nasan Tur<\/a>, B\u00f6hler & Orendt<\/a> and P\u0131nar \u00d6g\u0306renci<\/a> to showcase their bodies of work. Evolving around German history, “Suddenly Wonderful” sets the time back to the Cold War when large buildings hosting spaces for science and culture dominated the city landscape in West Berlin. Today, most of them are threatened by demolition, thus the exhibition is creating an initiative to move the perspective into an appreciation of the past.<\/p>\n
