This September, Berlin Art Week unveiled a 2\u20133 meter tall UGG boot, reimagined not as footwear but as a collective artwork. Born out of UGG and Zalando\u2019s \u201cIcons Crafted Together\u201d<\/em> workshop series, the giant installation transformed the brand\u2019s most comforting materials, shearling, foam, stitching, \u00a0into a creative statement.<\/p>\n

The project was based on one event in Berlin and one in Paris, where creative creators were invited to literally turn UGG \u201cinside out.\u201d During the workshops, each guest designed a 50 \u00d7 50 cm patch, reworking classic materials into new forms. These squares, each carrying an individual story and materials, were later stitched together into the monumental boot, unveiled at Berlin\u2019s Bode Gallery during Art At the closing vernissage in Berlin, UGG and Zalando took things to another level. The boot wasn\u2019t just an installation to be looked at, it became an interactive canvas. Visitors could design their own digital patches on tablets and see them projected directly onto the giant UGG boot, blurring the line between spectator and creator. Surrounded by live DJ music, drinks, and a crowd of creatives, the event became both a celebration and a reflection: participants revisited memories of the workshops while sparking new ideas together.<\/p>\n

The workshops encouraged participants to see fashion inside out, <\/em>not just as a finished product, but as a process of deconstruction, reimagination, and collaboration. Every patch carried meaning, every texture told a story, and together they became an icon of creativity shared, something that becomes clear when looking at the UGG
