KATHRIN WESSLING, born in 1985 in Ahaus, Germany, is a writer and journalist known for her unflinching honesty and sharply observant prose. After early experiences in theatre and on the poetry slam scene, she rose to prominence through her blog Dr\u00fcberleben (Surviving) and the debut novel of the same name. In books such as Super, und dir? (Great, and You?) and Nix passiert (Nothing Happened), she explores mental health, social pressure and personal crisis with striking clarity. Her most recent novel from 2025, Sonnenhang (Sunny Slope), follows a search for meaning and connection in a fractured world.<\/p>\n

It also means a lot to me personally, as it reflects how I approach life, even when it\u2019s difficult. It helps me put things into perspective: Yes, I\u2019m feeling bad, but I didn\u2019t die. Yes, the situation hit me hard, but it didn\u2019t break me.
