Es gibt Fragen, die man als Moderator stellt, weil man sie stellen soll. Und es gibt Fragen, die man stellt, weil man die Antwort wirklich nicht kennt. Bei Danii Pollehn<\/a> war es die zweite Sorte.<\/p>\n

Auf der Booth Stage der OMR<\/a> 2026 in Hamburg sa\u00dfen wir uns gegen\u00fcber\u00a0\u2013 ich als jemand, der seit zwei Jahrzehnten visuelle Sprache kuratiert, sie als jemand, die visuelle Sprache aus Klang destilliert. Das klingt nach einer ordentlichen Gespr\u00e4chsgrundlage. Und dann fragt man trotzdem: Aber was passiert da wirklich, bevor du anf\u00e4ngst?<\/p>\n

Pollehn ist keine Illustratorin, die auf diese Frage mit Begeisterung und Stimmungsboards antwortet. Sie denkt nach. Sie sagt: Es beginnt fast immer mit einem Unbehagen. Mit einem Klang, einer Melodie, einem einzelnen Wort in einem Song, das sich irgendwo festsetzt und nicht losl\u00e4sst. Nicht als Idee\u00a0\u2013 als K\u00f6rpergef\u00fchl.<\/p>\n

Das ist der Ausgangspunkt der neuen glo-Kampagne “Feel your glo”, f\u00fcr die Pollehn als Kreativpartnerin gewonnen wurde. Das Konzept ist, auf dem Papier, einfach: Der Hamburger DJ und Produzent Marten H\u00f8rger<\/a> \u2013 eine der treibenden Kr\u00e4fte im globalen Bass-House-Universum, kollaboriert unter anderem mit David Guetta und dem ehemaligen Prodigy-Mitglied Leeroy Thornhill \u2013 produziert einen Song. Die Community gibt Eindr\u00fccke, Stimmungen, Assoziationen. Pollehn \u00fcbersetzt das in ein visuelles Werk. Drei Disziplinen, ein gemeinsames Ergebnis.<\/p>\n

Kontrolle abgeben \u2013 aber wie weit?<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Pollehn arbeitet mit einem Vokabular, das sich nicht leicht in Kampagnenbriefings \u00fcbertragen l\u00e4sst: Intuition, K\u00f6rpergef\u00fchl, das Unfertige als gestalterisches Prinzip. Ihre Mixed-Media-Praxis ist radikal antieffizient\u00a0\u2013 sie baut digitale Animationen, zerlegt sie wieder in analoge Einzelframes aus Papier, Collage und Marker, scannt sie neu ein. Nicht weil das schneller geht. Weil bestimmte Qualit\u00e4ten nur entstehen, wenn man die Kontrolle an den Prozess abgibt.<\/p>\n

Auf der B\u00fchne stellte ich ihr die Frage, die ich f\u00fcr die schwierigste im ganzen Gespr\u00e4ch hielt: Du machst sehr pers\u00f6nliche Arbeit\u00a0\u2013 wie ehrlich kann Kunst unter Kampagnenbedingungen noch sein?<\/p>\n

Die Antwort war nicht das, was ich erwartet hatte. Sie sagte, die Frage stelle sich f\u00fcr sie anders: nicht, ob Ehrlichkeit m\u00f6glich sei, sondern ob der Auftraggeber Ehrlichkeit tats\u00e4chlich aush\u00e4lt. Ob er bereit ist, ein Ergebnis zu akzeptieren, das er nicht vollst\u00e4ndig kontrollieren kann. Eine Biografie der Umwege<\/strong><\/h5>\n

Was Pollehn von vielen Illustratoren ihrer Generation unterscheidet, ist, dass sie nicht linear dorthin gekommen ist. Sie hat Modedesign in Hamburg und Berlin studiert, als Stylistin gearbeitet, Textilmuster entworfen und in Paris und New York ausgestellt. Der Weg zur Illustration war kein Plan\u00a0\u2013 er war eine Notwendigkeit. Digitale Tools wurden zum Hebel, der ihr erm\u00f6glichte, das, was sie in traditionellen Medien begonnen hatte, in etwas Eigenes zu \u00fcbersetzen.<\/p>\n

Was dabei entstand, weist eine Pr\u00e4zision auf, die man bei oberfl\u00e4chlicher Betrachtung leicht \u00fcbergeht. Die Farbpaletten wirken expressiv, fast impulsiv\u00a0\u2013 Magenta, Teal, Orange, Lila, immer in Kombination, nie zuf\u00e4llig. Das Lettering ist kein ornamentales, sondern ein inhaltliches Element. Und die Motive\u00a0\u2013 weibliche K\u00f6rper, botanische Formen, H\u00e4nde, Gesten\u00a0\u2013 sind keine Dekoration. Sie erz\u00e4hlen von jemandem, der aus pers\u00f6nlicher Erfahrung sch\u00f6pft. Aus Krankheit, aus Heilung, aus dem langen Weg dazwischen.<\/p>\n

Dar\u00fcber haben wir auf der B\u00fchne nicht direkt gesprochen. Aber es war pr\u00e4sent\u00a0\u2013 in der Art, wie Pollehn \u00fcber Verletzlichkeit als kreative Ressource spricht, \u00fcber das Recht, “unfertig” zu sein, \u00fcber die Frage, was es bedeutet, sich in einem Werk zu zeigen, das dann einer Marke
