With this year\u2019s new live section dedicated to ambitious participatory works, Frieze Art Fair in London continues its tradition of being more than just a place to buy and sell art. The large majority of visitors will enjoy the booths but also the Frieze\u2019s various side programmes such as Projects, with specially commissioned works by Jerome Bel, Cerith Wyn Evans and Tobias Madison among others. But not to worry: those looking to to actually buy art can expect the 115 exhibitors, including the well-known blue chip galleries, to present innovative and exciting contemporary positions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Those looking to simply rest their weary feet after a long day at the fair will be excited to discover the newly-opened Ham\u00a0Yard Hotel in Soho. Not only is it well-located, within walking distance\u00a0from the fair\u2019s site in Regent\u2019s Park,\u00a0its courtyard also features a specially commissioned large-scale bronze sculpture by Turner Prize winner Tony Cragg.<\/p>\n

Housed in a modern building by architectural design firm Woods Bagot, the hotel has 91 bedrooms and suites \u2013 each individually designed by owner and interior designer kit Kemp. A visit to the hotel\u2019s own Soholistic Spa will reju any tired fair visitor. Ham Yard\u2019s\u00a0other amenities include a 190 seat theatre, a bar and a restaurant, a roof garden and an original 1950s bowling alley \u2013 making it even harder to head back to the fair.\u00a0<\/p>\n
