When Gucci <\/a>und\u00a0Givenchy<\/a>\u00a0both feature the same new face in their latest campaigns \u2013 unveiled\u00a0within 72 hours\u00a0of each other – the fashion world takes note. The rising star in question? Berlin.<\/p>\n

Monday\u00a0saw the release of Glen Luchford\u2019s\u00a0dreamy images for Gucci of skateboarding 1970s glamour kids – toting peacocks and climbing the familiar yellow-tiled steps of Hermannplatz. Then, rather hastily, Givenchy released a teaser for their Autumn 2016 pre-collection campaign. This is also set on the humble U-Bahn and shot by Berlin-based artist Matt Lambert<\/a>.\u00a0According to his Instagram,\u00a0Ricardo Tisci\u00a0was only in a Berlin two weeks ago, so one might speculate that the release was pushed forward purely in reaction to Gucci.
