\nMarco Bruzzone. \u201cMosse & Mossette”<\/strong> \n11 March 2016 \/ Friday \/ 6pm<\/strong> \nGillmeier Rech<\/a><\/strong> \nK\u00f6rnerstr. 17, 10785<\/strong> \nBruzzone’s work focuses on an ongoing study for a set of emojis created after E. Sottsass’s Bacterio. With works previously shown in Palais de Tokyo and Kunsthalle Basel, this is the Berlin based artist and curator’s second solo show at Gillmeier Rech.

\n\u201cDEMO:POLIS \u2013 The Right to Public Space\u201d<\/strong> \n11 March 2016 \/ Friday \/ 8pm<\/strong> \nAkademie der K\u00fcnste<\/a><\/strong> \nHanseatenweg 10, 10557<\/strong> \nFor the opening symposium, a discussion on art interventions in public spaces and their effects on free speech will be held. Bottom-up initiatives from Talca, Puerto Rico, Dublin and Berlin will also be examined. The exhibition itself\u00a0presents the possibilities that the public has to shape its own city.

The two artists will be present for a live performance at the exhibition’s opening.

\nMatt Mullican. \u201cBetween\u201d<\/strong> \n11 March 2016 \/ Friday \/ 6pm<\/strong> \nCapitain Petzel<\/a><\/strong> \nKarl-Marx-Alle 45, 10178<\/strong> \nA selection of works by the American artist will be on display.

\nDierk Schmidt. “Broken Windows 6.3”<\/strong> \n11 March 2016 \/ Friday \/ 6pm<\/strong> \nKOW<\/a><\/strong> \nBrunnenstr. 9, 10119<\/strong> \nSchmidt explores the colonisation of the African continent through artwork\u00a0created with\u00a0acrylic and silicone on canvas. His 15-part painting entitled “The Division of the Earth \u2013 Tableaux on the Legal Synopsis of the Berlin Africa Conference” will be on display, as well as a series of new works that use the motif of glass to address the rhetorics of\u00a0neo-colonialism.

Patrons can look forward to intimate works\u00a0including drawings of artistic colleagues Arnulf Rainer, Gerhard R\u00fchm and Oswald Wiener.

\nAlbert Oehlen. “Works on Paper”<\/strong> \n12 March 2016 \/ Saturday \/ 6pm<\/strong> \nGalerie Max Hetzler<\/a><\/strong> \nGoethestr. 2\/3, 10623<\/strong> \n“Works on Paper” focuses on a series of small-sized as well as larger works on paper, collages and wall drawings by graphic artist Albert Oehlen.
