\nThis week singer, actress and Hermes handbag muse Jane Birkin returned to fashion\u2019s spotlight in a series of images for YSL\u2019s Music Project. The ongoing fashion campaign, shot by creative director Hedi Slimane, features a diverse roster of musical celebrities that includes Sonic Youth\u2019s Kim Gordon and French electronic duo Daft Punk. Though Birkin has maintained a relatively low profile in recent years, the black and white portraits show she still has the spark that propelled her to fashion starlet status many years ago. In them, the irreverent beauty models the French brand\u2019s famed Le Smoking tuxedo jacket.
