Last year the inaugural edition of Photo London came to the UK\u2019s capital, bringing with it a revived interest in the medium that was reflected across the city. Photography became the talking point of collectors, galleries and auction houses. As the energy builds yet again, we give you our top tips for the Somerset House hosted 2016 edition.

This year the nominated artists are: Laura El-Tantawy, Erik Kessels, Trevor Paglen and Tobias Zielony.<\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0Celebrated British photographer Martin Parr has curated \u00a0“Strange and Familiar: Britain as revealed by international photographers.”<\/a> On display at the Barbican, the show\u00a0<\/em>looks at how the British are perceived by other cultures.<\/p>\n Looking to Commercial Galleries<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0Simon Lee<\/a> presents an exhibition of historic and new work by Keiji Uematsu, the Japanese conceptual artist who attempts to draw attention to natural forces and the human body’s reaction to them.<\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0Shigeo Anza\u00ef at White Rainbow<\/a>\u00a0chronicles\u00a0a list of the internationally acclaimed artists he has encountered over his successful career. Expect appearances by Daniel Burren and Richard Long amongst others in the presented works.<\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0Ben Brown<\/a> presents the first major gallery show of Pictet Prize 2015 nominee, Ori Gersht, showing his illusionistic photographs of landscapes and the elements.<\/p>\n Top Events of the Week<\/strong>:<\/p>\n \u2022 \u00a0What challenges do you face as a photographer in London?
