This\u00a0relentless attitude towards authenticity bleeds into all aspects of Lary&#8217;s life, most notably into her eye-catching sense of fashion. When I do, more often than not it&#8217;s\u00a0vintage \u2013 but I don\u2019t go out with the intent of purchasing something. I usually stumble across things through a boutique\u00a0window; I\u2019m a spontaneous shopper.<\/p>\n<h2>On festival season and festival fashion:<\/h2>\n<p>Festivals are definitely\u00a0the best way to listen to music. I can&#8217;t wait for the warm weather so I can sit in the sun with my friends\u00a0while\u00a0discovering new bands. With this rise in festival fashion, it\u2019s a shame\u00a0because the music has lost focus. I recently saw all these Coachella posts and basically everybody is beside\u00a0the big wheel posing in exactly the same way. But I&#8217;m also loving these new punk and folk sounding artists such as Courtney Barnett, Palace and Fat White Family. These days you\u2019re either extroverted and fashion-forward but your music sucks, or the other way around and the good music you make comes with an \u201cI don\u2019t care what I wear\u201d attitude. Whereas Prince and Bowie showed that it is possible and okay to express yourself in every way possible. They knew that fashion was a lot more than just trying to look good or following trends.<\/p>\n<h2>On what&#8217;s next:<\/h2>\n<p>I\u2019m just trying to write new songs, getting better at the piano and the guitar. That means I spend a lot of my time getting all emotional\u00a0and writing.
