\nFashion’s fixation on the\u00a0past is nothing new, with designers regularly\u00a0romanticising long forgotten styles and transforming them into fresh ideas. Timing is of the essence, and fashion houses must be\u00a0careful not to rehash a certain trend too soon. While some argue this behaviour leads to stale concepts, it can also\u00a0bring life to subculture styles\u00a0that never went mainstream the first time around.\u00a0Further, it allows\u00a0this generation of\u00a0creatives the chance to live out periods in pop culture they were too young to really\u00a0experience.
\nRecently,\u00a0young fashion designers are reimagining trends from 90s rave culture, transforming the decade’s club wear into this year’s high fashion must-haves. But instead of overly-baggy Jncos and sticky\u00a0candy necklaces, they’re adopting\u00a0utilitarian\u00a0cuts and\u00a0monochromatic colour palettes.
