Summer is the year\u2019s quietest season for cultural institutions so museums are making the most of the mobile game craze in an attempt to get more visitors to pay entrance fees.<br \/>\nLaunched earlier in July, Pok\u00e9mon Go is available in 27 countries and already counts 26 million daily players in the United States alone. The augmented reality mobile game allows users to catch Pok\u00e9mon monsters against a real world backdrop using smartphones and it\u2019s said to be even <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.de\/pokmon-gobigger-than-tinder-overtake-twitter-similarweb-data-stock-price-nintendo-niantic-2016-7\" target=\"_blank\">more popular than Tinder<\/a> and Grindr. The app is proving to be hugely successful with the servers being down in parts of Europe. But not without some controversy with gamers falling off cliffs or casually <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubergizmo.com\/2016\/07\/dead-body-discovered-pokemon-go\/\" target=\"_blank\">finding corpses<\/a> while hunting in Pok\u00e9stops.<br \/>\nPok\u00e9stops are the GPS-programmed areas where gamers snatch monsters and collect points. The MoMA currently has two (one at entrance and one inside) while the Philadelphia Museum of Art has eight Pok\u00e9stops.<br \/>\nBut not all artgoers are amused with the hoards of Pok\u00e9mon Go players in the museums who in comparison might look like zombies holding mobile phones.
