AW16<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nLondon-based label <a href=\"http:\/\/www.a-w-a-k-e.com\/\">A.W.A.K.E.<\/a> is the womenswear vision of Natalia Alaverdian. After a wealth of experience working in styling, art direction and photography,\u00a0the former Fashion Director at Harper&#8217;s Bazaar Russia decided to create her very own brand.\u00a0&#8220;I&#8217;ve wanted to design since I was about 10 years old, but I was scared of the technical aspect of it, so I went into styling,&#8221; the street style star told <a href=\"http:\/\/www.style.com\" target=\"_blank\">Style.com<\/a>.\u00a0After years working as a sought-after stylist, Alaverdian gained the courage to start her label, and we are glad she did!<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"size--small\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35973\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sleek-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/5.jpg\" alt=\"A.W.A.K.E. FW16-17\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" \/> A.W.A.K.E. AW16<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nA.W.A.K.E., which is an acronym for All Wonderful Adventures Kindle Enthusiasm, has a distinctively\u00a0playful mood.\u00a0Due to her editorial background, Alaverdian&#8217;s eye for bold silhouettes means she is making clothes that fashion mags are fighting to put on their pages. The label, which launched in 2012, creates storytelling collections based on a different animal each season. AW16 was based on a rabbit, and the most recent Pre-Spring collection inspired by the jellyfish, resulting in pieces that feel youthful while retaining elegance. Japanese kawaii elements such as frilly cuffs, collars and plaids are balanced out with clean lines, sculptural sleeves and wide flares.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"size--small\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-35972\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sleek-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/3.jpg\" alt=\"A.W.A.K.E. Pre-Spring 17<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe Moscow-born,\u00a0Belgium raised designer has won over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/-BXV2PMZ9r\/\" target=\"_blank\">bloggers<\/a> und <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/-cUnzOMZ9R\/\" target=\"_blank\">celebrities<\/a> with her whimsical aesthetic. Russian style has recently become a Fashion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sleek-mag.com\/de\/2016\/05\/06\/soviet-fashion\/\" target=\"_blank\">obsession<\/a> across the industry, with Gosha Rubchinskiy and Lotta Volkova leading the way.\u00a0A.W.A.K.E., however, is less about Soviet sportswear ,\u00a0and more about classic pieces and prints reimagined with unconventional proportions. Tommy Ton&#8217;s favourite street style subjects Anya Ziourova\u00a0and Miroslava Duma were\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/BC0Y3z4sZwU\/\" target=\"_blank\">snapped<\/a> wearing A.W.A.K.E. during fashion week, giving their fellow countrywoman the Russian seal of approval.
