\nNew York Fashion Week kicked off last week, and although there were many hits, no fashion week would be complete without a few missteps to gossip over. <\/em>Read below for our favourite feats and fails so far<\/em>

The Lows<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Young Thug’s runway takeover<\/h3>\n

During designer Rushemy Botter’s collection at the\u00a0VFILES<\/a>\u00a0show,\u00a0the rap star interrupted\u00a0a model to delicately re-adjust the collar whilst puffing on a cigar. Was Thug simply taking his creative involvement\u00a0with VFILES seriously? Hmmm.. Or, perhaps the model’s lack of surprise and Thug’s Botter outfit, not to mention the fact that he then returned to his front row place to film (and Snapchat) on his massive iPad, suggested a bonafide publicity stunt. \u00a0Nonetheless, kudos to the artist for supporting young designers.

Yeezy’s Epic Fail Left Editors Unimpressed<\/h3>\n

It came as no surprise that Kanye West<\/a>\u00a0treated guests more like fans for his Yeezy Season 4 presentation. Presenting it at Four Freedoms Park on Roosevelt Island \u2013 which, by the way, is an hour-long bus ride from the far-west side of Manhattan \u2013 West made everyone wait for hours in the hot sun all to reveal\u00a0a collection that was rather uninspiring. To mark this momentous flop, guests could purchase the Yeezy Season 4 shirts that were retailing at $75, according to New York Times<\/a> reporter Guy Trebay. One of the biggest shockers for Ye’s collection\u00a0was the treatment of the models who waited around for hours in the sun in thigh-high boots. While some models ditched their heels, others needed help to complete the runway, as seen\u00a0via social media videos like this eine<\/a>\u00a0displaying Bruce Pask, the men’s fashion director of Bergdorf Goodman.

Fellow Fashion Photographer’s Tribute to Bill Cunningham<\/h3>\n

Fashion photographers paid tribute to the late\u00a0Bill Cunningham<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0donning blue smock coats in honour of the legendary icon\u00a0who\u00a0pioneered street style imagery. Cunningham became a well-loved character seen at all the big events, whose trademark became his uniform of a bright blue dress coat. His presence will be sorely missed.
