For her SS&#8217;17 collection, Knorr presented a further exploration into her silhouette defining\u00a0looks &#8211; this time, draped in satin, leather and lam\u00e9.<br \/>\n<strong>On women&#8230;<\/strong> \nmy work is an exploration of womanhood. I interviewed lots of inspiring females and took elements from the conversations as my starting point for the designs.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"size--small\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37728\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sleek-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/4-2.jpg\" alt=\"Paula Knorr SS'17 by Nico Stinghe\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" \/> Paula Knorr SS&#8217;17<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why she is bringing &#8216;sexy&#8217; back\u2026<\/strong> \nI find it interesting to explore new concepts of sexuality from a woman&#8217;s perspective. For a long time \u201csexy clothes\u201d weren\u2019t considered high fashion. I\u2019d like my designs to reveal a new, personal and realistic idea of sexiness.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"size--small\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37729\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sleek-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/5-2.jpg\" alt=\"Paula Knorr SS'17 by Nico Stinghe\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" \/> Paula Knorr SS&#8217;17<\/p>\n<p><strong>The body is the focus\u2026<br \/>\n<\/strong>My main intention is to put the woman in the foreground, as opposed to the clothing. It\u2019s all about her body, her movements, her personal beauty. To support and illustrate female identity is definitely the core of my brand.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"size--small\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37730\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sleek-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/6-2.jpg\" alt=\"Paula Knorr SS'17 by Nico Stinghe\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" \/> Paula Knorr SS&#8217;17<\/p>\n<p><strong>How she works\u2026<\/strong> \nThe interaction and balance between the body and the garments is the focus of my designs. Details, like prints, come second. That&#8217;s why I never start by sketching my ideas. I have to drape, and preferably create them directly on a real body to explore how they interact.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"size--small\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-37726\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sleek-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/2-3.jpg\" alt=\"Paula Knorr SS'17 by Nico Stinghe\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" \/> Paula Knorr SS&#8217;17<\/p>\n<p><strong>On showing at London Fashion Week<\/strong> \nNEWGEN (sponsorship programme for new talent, previous recipients include Alexander McQueen, J.W. Anderson and Christopher Kane) is an amazing opportunity. It brings back a lot of support that young designers lose when they graduate from university but desperately need.
