Image from cvltnation.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sleek-mag.com\/de\/?s=Taschen&amp;submit=Search\">Taschen<\/a> have announced the first reissue of Salvador Dal\u00ed\u2019s \u201cLes Diners de Gala\u201d, since it\u2019s 1973 debut. With only 400 copies of the original surviving, the rare cookbook, until now, has been exclusive to a handful of wealthy art collectors. Described by its publishers as \u201can artwork, a practical cookbook, and a multisensory adventure\u201d, the publication aims to inject a touch of Surrealism into the kitchen with the 136 recipes compiled by the unlikely new celebrity chef and his wife, Gala.<br \/>\nRecipes including \u201cThousand Year Old Eggs,&#8221; &#8220;Veal Cutlets Stuffed With Snails,&#8221; &#8220;Frog Pasties,&#8221; (see recipe at the bottom of article) and &#8220;Toffee with Pine Cones&#8221; fall under 12 chapter titles such as \u201cPrime Lilliputian malaises\u201d (meat) and \u201cDeoxyribonucleic Atavism\u201d (vegetables). The entirety of Chapter Ten is dedicated to aphrodisiacs, which Dal\u00ed named \u201cI Eat GALA\u201d, as a humorous tribute to his wife. Every recipe is accompanied by a Dal\u00ed illustration, and the painter\u2019s insightful musings are also scattered through the publication.<br \/>\nWhilst the ingredient list for each recipe is long, the duo\u2019s sumptuous recipes are possible to cook at home. The \u201ccuisine of the old school\u201d will just require a well-stocked kitchen and a bit of patience.
