Nachdem sie sich 2007 bei einem gemeinn\u00fctzigen Projekt in Marokko kennengelernt hatten, arbeiten sie seitdem zusammen. In ihrer Arbeit fotografiert Carolin Becker die Motive und \u00fcbergibt die Aufnahmen anschlie\u00dfend an Simon Harrison, der mit einem modernen \u201ePaint-on-Photographic\u201c-Stil die endg\u00fcltigen Bilder gestaltet, die digital bearbeitet wirken, tats\u00e4chlich aber lediglich das Ergebnis einer symbiotischen Zusammenarbeit zweier sich erg\u00e4nzender Kunsthandwerke sind. Im Mittelpunkt ihrer Arbeit stehen die Rolle der Prostitution in der religi\u00f6sen Ikonografie der Renaissance, die Auswirkungen von Konflikten und die Heuchelei extremistischer Glaubensvorstellungen.<br \/>\nIm vergangenen Jahr hatten sie zwei Ausstellungen in der Galerie Hiltawsky \u2013 \u201cHoly Shit\u201d und \u201cThe Naked Truth\u201d. In der erstgenannten Auseinandersetzung setzte sich das Paar mit religi\u00f6ser Ikonografie und Praktiken auseinander, indem es Bilder von Gewalt einf\u00fcgte und so eine Kritik am Wesen organisierter Religion \u00fcbte. In \u201cThe Naked Truth\u201d fotografierten sie Transfrauen aus Thailand und f\u00fcgten sie in Leonardo da Vincis \u2018Das letzte Abendmahl\u201d ein, wodurch sie ikonische Kunst mit einer modernen Sichtweise auf die Darstellung von Geschlecht verbanden.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.taz.de\/contextishalfthework\/2016\/02\/18\/the-seen-and-unseen-of-beckerharrison\/\">Mit dem Ziel,<\/a> \u201cEine Illusion innerhalb einer Illusion schaffen\u201d \u2013 die Arbeiten von BECKERHARRISON sind \u00e4u\u00dferst faszinierend und bewegen sich auf einem schmalen Grat zwischen Realit\u00e4t und Fantasie.
