But where does that leave the countless techno fans that have yet to visit the city, or simply haven\u2019t made it past\u00a0the tough door policy? Enter Google and Boiler Room, two entities who have teamed up to create a new virtual reality experience that offers\u00a0a lifelike \u2013 albeit simulated \u2013 taste of Berlin\u2019s music culture.<br \/>\n\u201cVR dancefloors: Techno in Berlin\u201d is the first instalment of a project that has the potential to revolutionise how we discover underground music scenes. \u201cWhat if Tom from a small village in Poland would love to know what the trap scene in Atlanta is like?\u201d says Ibtisam Omer, Culture Marketing Strategist at Google. \u201cThat\u2019s why we&#8217;ve created this project.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"size--small\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-49876\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sleek-mag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/IMG_20160101_093038.jpg\" alt=\"Boiler Room x Google Pixel VR Dancefloors Performance\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1125\" \/> Boiler Room x Google Pixel VR Dancefloors Performance with FJAAK<\/p>\n<p>Designed to be experienced on Pixel, Google\u2019s first virtual reality-optimised phone, \u201cVR dance floors\u201d combines interactive elements of immersive theatre, computer game narrative, music TV broadcast and installation art. The Berlin techno experience consists of a 15 minute-long video was filmed in an industrial-looking venue featuring a live-electronics set by Berlin&#8217;s very own FJAAK. &#8220;Technology is such a major driver for us as musicians,&#8221; FJAAK say. &#8220;We\u2019re often on the road and being on an aeroplane and having a whole studio at your disposal is just wow! And VR is the next step, there\u2019s even programmes that allow you to make street art as a group \u2013 and that\u2019s <em>\u00fcberkrank<\/em>.\u201d<br \/>\nBeyond being able to transport oneself right into the middle of a cast of 150 of Berlin\u2019s most dedicated ravers, viewers can also choose their own \u201cadventure\u201d and explore the rest of the club.
