\nFollowing a wild SS17 campaign<\/a>,\u00a0Gucci’s favourite photographer Glen Luchford shoots a new campaign entitled “Soul Scene” featuring an all black\u00a0cast.
\nAlessandro Michele has been pushing for diversity at the Italian fashion house since his appointment as Creative Director, and the brand’s Instagram recently gave us a teaser<\/a> of the casting direction for Pre-Fall. The new campaign is heavily influenced by the iconic ’60s photographer Malick Sidib\u00e9, who is best known for his black and white photographic works capturing the energetic atmosphere and vibrant Northern Soul dance-life in his native Bamako. The influence of Sidib\u00e9’s work can be seen across the colour-clashing dance floor looks and fun portraits. Perhaps Michele was inspired by last year’s exhibition at the Photographer’s Gallery,\u00a0Made You Look<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>which was an exploration of black masculinity and Dandyism.
