Even if you don\u2019t ask, New Yorkers will tell you that New York Fashion Week is the only one that matters in the whole world, and while people on some other continents may find that assertion contentious, this is America and no one here cares what they think. In the land of the \u201cbrave and free\u201d, the fake-it-till-you-make-it mentality is truly a force to be reckoned with. The thing about bravado is, if you can back it up with real talent \u2014 and there’s no denying the abundance of design talent present at this NYFW \u2014 eventually people forgive you for it.
