While Paris Fashion Week has got off to an exciting start with Dior\u2019s Teddy Girl-inspired collection<\/a> and Marine Serre\u2019s boundary-pushing, sustainability-forward alternate universe<\/a>, nonetheless, there\u2019s still plenty to set your sights away from the catwalk. With rain forecast in Paris later in the week, why not run for shelter to one of the French capital\u2019s many galleries and museums. Across 120 paintings and sculptures, this eye-opening exhibit compares and contrasts the works of two of modern art\u2019s most famous practitioners. In particular, the exhibition looks at Calder\u2019s and Picasso\u2019s use of the void and negative space across their respective oeuvres \u2014 through the former\u2019s representation of the absence of space as defined and weighty, and in the latter\u2019s portraits that appear to exist outside of time. <\/span><\/p>\n

For the fourth edition of Open Space, the \u00a0French artist has created a multi-sensory enviroment within the walls of the Frank Gehry-designed space. Inspired by 19th century greenhouses, Ho\u00ebl\u2019s immersive eco-stystem is wired by technology and responds to real-time data on climate change. <\/span><\/p>\n
