Gallery Weekend is upon us again in Berlin with more than 114 venues participating across the sprawling city. All of the galleries in the German capital take the event as an opportunity to stage some of their best exhibits of the year, but it is impossible to see everything. SLEEK reached out to some of our favourite voices in the industry to get their take on the neighbourhoods, exhibits and nightlife, to help narrow down the selection.<\/p>\n

Then use the cafe at The Store for breakfast. What is your favourite spot in Berlin?\u00a0<\/strong>For a break in the busy city, I take a walk through the garden of Campus Charit\u00e9 Mitte, visiting the Theatrum Anatomicum with its spectacular amphitheatrically shape.\u00a0What are you looking forward to during Gallery Weekend?\u00a0<\/strong>Gropius Bau is showing a 16th century version of \u201cGarden of Earthly Delights,\u201d the famous painting by Hieronymus Bosch \u2013 one painting in a room with space and time to dive into all details of this masterpiece. I am also especially looking forward to experience the new choreographic work by Isabel Lewis in collaboration with LABOUR that takes up the dramaturgical structure of the original triptych and activates the architecture of the first floor of the museum.\u00a0Favourite neighbourhood for Galleries?\u00a0<\/strong>I really enjoy Charlottenburg and visiting Meyer Riegger and Wentrup and always visit Sch\u00f6neberg with galleries such as Eden Eden and Barbara Wien.\u00a0What is the oddest thing about Berlin?\u00a0<\/strong>It\u2019s a charming village where everyone knows each other, which is surprising in contrast with international shows and concerts inviting the world in.<\/p>\n
