Ever since the Danish capital turned away from minimalism to embrace a girlish charm, its fashion week has become a place to spot trends that will filter into feeds well-beyond Scandinavia. But if you are only looking at the runways, you\u2019re not seeing the forest for the trees. It\u2019s a younger fashion week, the schedule is not so much packed with legacy brands that have changed hands multiple times over the last centuries, their founders are usually still holding the reigns, as well as managing their own feeds, which can be a great source of backstage inspiration, giving context to the shows.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>We took the liberty of compiling a list of our favourite designers to follow:<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

While the clothes are designed in Copenhagen, you\u2019ll find the furry Technicolor coats on everyone from Cardi B to Gigi Hadid. You may recognise the iridescent suits from Selena Gomez\u2019s <\/span>Taki Taki<\/span><\/i> video, which was copied by Kim Kardashian\u2019s daughter North on Instagram. From Potts\u2019 posts you get insight into the flight attendant uniforms and towel swans that inspire the designer, as well as how she styles the collection on herself. Much like her label,<\/span> Icon Visions<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> Cecilie Jorgensen\u2019s<\/span><\/a> Instagram is highly stylised in an aesthetic that is somewhere between an early \u201890s daydream and an alternate future. While you\u2019ll find many pieces and campaigns from her label on the feed, you also get an insight into the cityscapes and<\/span> major moods<\/span><\/a> that inform her designs.<\/span><\/p>\n

Rotate Birger Christensen<\/span><\/a> is what happens when two stylists-cum-influencers merge minds.<\/span> Thora Valdimars<\/span><\/a> and<\/span> Jeanette Madsen<\/span><\/a> met in 2014 while working together at Costume Magazine. They meet in the middle for the brand, but the two have very different viewpoints. OK, so<\/span> Ganni<\/span><\/a> was originally started in 2000 by an art connoisseur and a gallery owner who wanted to create the \u201cperfect cashmere knit,\u201d but the version of the brand most of us are familiar with is the revamp it got 10 years ago by husband and wife duo, Nicolaj and<\/span> Ditte<\/span><\/a> Reffstrup.
