No one is better at capturing the idiosyncrasies and peculiarities of human nature than Martin Parr. The revered British photographer\u2019s work celebrates the strange moments in the everyday\u2014from luminously-tanned seaside sun-worshippers, to supermarket check-outs queues, bored couples sitting opposite each other, not to mention, the new autumn cover of SLEEK<\/a>. Following the National Portrait Gallery\u2019s extensive exhibition of Parr\u2019s work,<\/span> Only Human<\/span><\/i><\/a>, earlier this year, Parr\u2019s photography is on display again, this time at the <\/span>NRW-Forum D\u00fcsseldorf<\/span><\/a>. From a middle-aged couple standing mawkishly in swimming-costumes with interlocked\u00a0 little fingers, to a bearded man in a hat, proudly upright against a sunflower his own height\u2014Parr\u2019s photographs are cheery and charming. Spanning Parr\u2019s entire career, the exhibition showcases photographs from his most famous series, including <\/span>The Last Resort, The Cost of Living, Think of England, and Life\u2019s A Beach, <\/span><\/i>as well as\u00a0 early images from his debut series,\u00a0<\/span>Bad Weather. <\/span><\/i>Parr\u2019s recent series <\/span>Kleing\u00e4rtner<\/span><\/i> will also be on display\u2014a collection of images Parr shot in the greater D\u00fcsseldorf area. Backdropped by gardening allotments, the photographs are a joyful mass of colourful flowers and beaming gardeners\u2014typically Parr.<\/span><\/p>\n
