\u201cFilms save us from reality,\u201d so says Julia Kondra, curator of @<\/a><\/span>notarton<\/a>\u2014the Instagram account dedicated to showcasing cinema\u2019s steamiest scenes. In an unabashed celebration of love and lust on-screen, Kondra, who is based in Moscow, posts romantic and <\/span>risqu\u00e9<\/span> clips from her favourite films\u2014there\u2019s everything from Liv Tyler making out on the grass in<\/span> Stealing Beauty<\/span><\/i> (1996) to intense bedroom moments stolen from Lars Von Trier\u2019s <\/span>Nymphomaniac <\/span><\/i>(2013), to shots of Jean Seberg and Jean-Paul Belmondo in Breathless<\/em> (1960)\u00a0<\/span>side by side\u00a0<\/span>Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie dancing in <\/span>Mr & Mrs Smith <\/span><\/i>(2005). There’s<\/span>\u00a0Maggie Gyllenhall and James Spader in Secretary<\/em> (2002) nestled against Scarlett Johansson seductively lighting a secret in Match Point<\/em> (2005), not to mention countless snippets of illicit encounters taken from Gasper No\u00e9\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0ultra-provocative<\/span> Love <\/span><\/i>(2015). Her favourite of all though\u2014and it features often\u2014is Bernardo Bertulluci\u2019s <\/span>The Dreamers <\/span><\/i>(2003), with Eva Green, Michael Pitt and Louis Garrel. \u201cI fell in love with this film at first sight,\u201d Kondra tells SLEEK. Meanwhile, she cites Peneolope Cruz and Javier Bardem as her favourite on-screen couple. Although <\/span>@<\/span>notarton\u2014the name derives from the common criticism directed at art by naysayers (“That\u2019s not art\u201d)\u2014started life as an art-only account back in 2016, overtime Kondra began to share more freely. \u201cWho am I to restrain my boundaries? It\u2019s about everything that touches me, everything I feel a connection with,\u201d she explains. On top of this, Kondra was motivated by what she thought the app was missing. \u201cI didn\u2019t see the real feelings, and that’s how I got the idea came to show genuine sensual content,\u201d she says. Now, Kondra describes the account as platforming \u201cart in any form\u2014paintings, movie scenes\u2014and secret desires and pleasure with a taste for erotic aesthetics.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
