After several months of lockdown, Giorgio Armani was finally able to re-open the Armani\/Silos exhibition space this month, with an exhibition dedicated to the late German photographer Peter Lindbergh.\u00a0<\/span>Titled Heimat: A Sense of Belonging<\/i><\/a>\u2014extended until 10 January 2021\u2014the exhibition, which was personally curated by Armani, highlights Lindbergh’s timeless aesthetic through a broad range of images, spanning his entire career. With a mix of well-known and lesser-known aspects of Lindberg\u2019s oeuvre brought to the fore, Heimat<\/em>, which means ‘homeland’ in English, unfolds across three sections\u2014The Naked Truth, Heimat and The Modern Heroine. <\/i>Through an array of elegant portraits, the exhibition goes beyond the idea of fashion photography and emphasises Lindberg’s unique understanding of femininity and his cinematic approach to image-making.
