href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/olgadelaiglesia\/?hl=fr\">Olga de la Iglesia\u2019s<\/a> latest short-film, <em>CHROMASCOPE<\/em>, offers a solution of sorts to the bleak mood we may be experiencing. Rooted in her own journey of personal enlightenment, Iglesia explains how colour will play a subtly integral role in helping us find a brighter future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The role of colour in Iglesia&#8217;s personal and artistic interpretation of life serves both metaphorically and literally\u2014she makes no secret of the fact that this story comes from \u201chaving spent a long time in the darkness\u201d. Strongly influenced by her three-year stay in the Caribbean, her perception of colours and their curative meaning serve as an emotional directive\u2014colours are, after all, associative.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Iglesia&#8217;s narration offers the viewer an overview of her working method, as she explains how the shapes, textures and people that appear in her photography are all woven together by the \u201ccircumstance\u201d of colour\u2014despite the film&#8217;s short four-minute runtime, it wastes no time in communicating the importance that colour has played in adding purpose to her life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shot in New York City in the summer of 2019, the short allows us to discover the warmth of the Big Apple via Iglesia\u2019s eyes.
