As animals, we are characterised by our five senses of sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste, as well as by the potential for these senses to overlap in synesthesia\u2014 the ability for sensation to be produced by one sense yet \u2018felt\u2019 in another.<\/p>\n

Leonardo da Vinci believed that one of art\u2019s innate qualities is that it functions as a prompt for synesthesia, arguing that \u201cpainting is poetry that is seen rather than felt\u201d. Today, this legacy can be discerned in the latest Versace Jeans Couture<\/a> collection. The Jeans Couture pocket of the Versace Universe concentrates its efforts on the intersection between the meeting point of “aristocracy and underground youth culture”.<\/p>\n
