“Es gab kein Ort, an dem man uns willkommen hie\u00df. Wir lebten in Baracken, weil man an ein fahrendes Volk eben keine Wohnungen vermietet.”, sagte \u00a0Gianni Jovanovic einst in einem Interview. Dabei wollte seine Familie nichts mehr als sesshaft zu werden. Als Gianni vier Jahre alt war, wurde die Unterkunft seiner Familie mit Molotowcocktails in Brand gesetzt. Eine Narbe am Kopf erinnert ihn bis heute daran. Gianni ist Sohn einer Roma Familie. Mit 16 wurde er zum ersten Mal Papa, mit Anfang 20 outete er sich. Inzwischen ist er zweifacher Gro\u00dfvater, gl\u00fccklich mit seinem Mann verheiratet und hat eine enge Beziehung zu seinen Kindern. Sich f\u00fcr die Roma und Sinti, aber auch f\u00fcr die LGBTQI+ Community einzusetzen, ist seine Lebensaufgabe. Gianni ist ein so lebensbejahender, empathischer und eloquenter Mensch, der mir viel \u00fcber die traurige Geschichte der Roma und Sinti erz\u00e4hlt hat.
