d\u2019Art Contemporain <\/strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiac.com\/en-gb.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FIAC<\/strong><\/a>) plunged back into the international art calendar from the 21 -24 October 2021 at its new temporary location,<em> le <\/em>Grand Palais \u00c9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re. The absence of the architectural prowess of the Grand Palais (undergoing reconstruction until 2024) was compensated by the joy of experiencing contemporary art in person.<\/p>\n<p>Among the most esteemed events of its kind in Europe, FIAC is a unique rendez-vous for visitors due to the high-quality exhibitions in commercial spaces and art institutions. More than 170 galleries from 25 countries were present at this year&#8217;s art fair, with 32 new galleries in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiac.com\/en-gb\/galleries\/exhibitor-list.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>General Sector<\/strong><\/a>, including Zeno X, Efremidis, or Suprainfinit together with major players in the industry \u2013 Emmanuel Perrotin, Gagosian, Kamel Mennour, Almine Rech, Galleria Continua or Thaddaeus Ropac, while 10 of the <strong>Young Galleries Sector<\/strong> have been provided with financial support throughout the fair. The<strong> Design Sector<\/strong> was present as well this year along with booths of fine art editions and multiples, extended by <a href=\"https:\/\/fiac.viewingrooms.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Fiac Online Viewing Rooms<\/strong><\/a> with 43 galleries who exhibited exclusively online. The iconic <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiac.com\/en-gb\/programmation\/fiac-hors-les-murs.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>FIAC Hors les Murs<\/strong><\/a> exhibition took the streets of Paris with over 25 outdoor artworks presented in collaboration with the Domaine national du Louvre et des Tuileries at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiac.com\/en-gb\/programmation\/fiac-hors-les-murs\/jardin-des-tuileries.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Jardin des Tuileries<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong> Counted among outstanding projects in the public space are Stefan Rinck\u2019s limestone sculptures, Jems Koko Bi\u2019s work \u201cEmpty\u201d, or Alexander Cader\u2019s monumental \u201cFlying Dragon&#8221; at<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiac.com\/en-gb\/programmation\/fiac-hors-les-murs\/place-vendome.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong> Place Vend\u00f4me<\/strong><\/a> in collaboration with Gagosian.The program incorporated as well a personal exhibition of the artist Jean Claracq, curated by Claire Bess\u00e8de at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiac.com\/en-gb\/programmation\/fiac-hors-les-murs\/musee-national-eugene-delacroix.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Eug\u00e8ne Delacroix National Museum<\/strong><\/a>. the German artist, winner of the Golden Lion at the 2017 Venice Biennale for her performative exhibition in the German Pavilion, has struck again with a multidisciplinary exhibition that has occupied entirely Palais de Tokyo. The artist involved the composer Eliza Douglas, 30 guest artists, and a group of performers who engaged with Imhof\u2019s installations in an all-embracing, polyphonic work. It was everything from beautiful, provoking to grunge.<\/p>\n<p>Another remarkable institutional show is the first retrospective of Georgia O&#8217;Keeffe (1887 \u2013 1986) at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centrepompidou.fr\/en\/program\/calendar\/event\/60bdJRm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Centre Pompidou<\/a>.
