Since 1989, G-Star Raw<\/a> have been pioneers in denim. Creating a denim culture that involves experimental designs balanced with practical wearability. In entering their 33rd year of innovation, G-Star is releasing \u2018The Rhythm of Denim\u2019, where the brand explores an artistic communication through denim and tap dance.<\/p>\n

The dance style originated in the United States in the early 19th Century, in a cross between African and Irish American dance forms. Gaining popularity after the Civil War, it continued to evolve into the 20th Century. Tap dancers began collaborating with jazz musicians, experimenting with improvisation and complex syncopated rhythms. It was during this time that the metal plates on heels and toes typically used in tap became the norm.<\/p>\n

History, experimentation, innovation and technology seem to be the common denominator between the brand and tap.
