Sleeper<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

“We recognise our responsibility as a business and over several weeks, we\u2019ve transformed, relocating our staff and production, without stopping our work. We know this is temporary. Sleeper has always been ‘Made in Ukraine’ and it always will be.<\/p>\n

From the first days of the war, we donated 1000 000 UAH to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, guided refugees and volunteered. Most of our male staff are recruited into the army and territorial defensive forces. At the beginning of April, we launched a charitable initiative where we will donate proceeds from Sleeper\u2019s April sales to Ukraine\u2019s largest children\u2019s hospital \u201cOhmatdyt\u201d. Our children are our future, and we believe that every child deserves a safe and happy childhood.<\/p>\n

We will remain strong. We will keep working. Our mission as a business has always been to bring light into the world. And now, more than ever, we need to spread this light.<\/p>\n

After all, the light always wins over the darkness. And we know that a future that is filled with beauty and peace will surely prevail.”<\/p>\n

“10 days ago I left Kherson and came back to Kyiv.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These days Kherson is being occupied by Russian troops. They don’t let the civilians leave the city and don’t permit humanitarian corridors. Fortunately, we have enough reserves in our region to supply the city. As time passes, the occupiers react more aggressively to peaceful rallies and try to disperse them. But the people are holding on because Kherson is Ukraine. Nobody wants it to become a Russian city and nobody supports Russia.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m glad I stayed with my family even in such a hopeless situation. The main value for me is the same as for Sleeper, it\u2019s my family. That’s why we are holding on, supporting each other.”<\/p>\n

“I woke up in the morning on February 24th because my colleague called me and said “The war has begun”. I couldn’t believe it, I was hoping it was just a joke. The next day I’ve spent looking for a bomb shelter with my friends and neighbours. Then my friend and her family suggested we leave Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The hardest moment was when we crossed the border. We were crying, we couldn’t imagine what to do and how to live further. The nicest thing was that the volunteers in Romania suggested some food not only for me but for my dog as well. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It took 7 days to reach Hungary. We were so tired and scared. But now I feel strong and full of hope. My friends and colleagues from Sleeper are very supportive, we keep in touch and I am trying to be supportive too.”<\/p>\n

“Our home is our castle. This is our land and I don’t want to escape elsewhere. It’s spring, sunny and warm outside, and sometimes, it seems like there’s no war at all but then I see armed people with guns.<\/p>\n

The war inspired me to read books about Ukrainian history. Right now, I’m reading Vakhtang Kipiani’s “Vasyl Stus Case.\u201d It’s about a Ukrainian poet who was a dissident and was repressed by the soviets. I’ll continue working to pay taxes, to support the Ukrainian economy and donate to the army.
