50 Years Berlin Marathon: Cool Runnings Hits the Streets

Sundays in Berlin aren’t notoriously known for fitness, but yesterday, the city paused for an event that was anything but ordinary—the 50th edition of the Berlin Marathon. Over 54,000 runners from across the globe descended upon the German capital, making this the biggest marathon the world has seen. The 42-kilometer course wove its way through the city’s iconic landmarks, starting and finishing at Tiergarten, with the the Brandenburger Tor setting the stage.

Among the sea of athletes, the Cool Runnings crew joined as one of the many participants. Sponsored by PUMA, they’d spent weeks prepping on the very streets they’d soon conquer, training side by side, driven by their shared love of running.

Cool Runnings isn’t just a running club; it’s a tight-knit collective bound by a passion for community. The night before the big day, they came together at Papillon Berlin to fuel their bodies and deepen the sense of unity. For this marathon, they reunited once again, pushing one another and proving that preparation never stops—not for this race, and not for the next.
