Gallery owner Anahita Sadighi is our third guest of the Anderssein Berlin episodes. At the age of 26, she opened her first gallery, “Anahita-Arts of Asia,” specialising in ancient art from the Near East and the East Asian cultural region. Thus with the gallery’s opening in 2015, she became the youngest gallery owner in Berlin. In following the footsteps of her father — a well respected art dealer and painter — Sadigahi says, “taking on my father’s professional legacy was a kind of personal emancipation.” The episode is a conversation about solidarity in the art scene and Berlin as a location.
