Kati and Daniel have been living in a polyamorous, not to be confused with polygamy, relationship for over four years. “We live in a needs-based way, it’s a constant confrontation with ourselves,” they told me in our conversation. While polygamy has emerged from a patriarchal system, polyamorous relationship is decided on equal terms.
There are few studies on polyamorous relationships, but here are a few facts: 12 percent of people in Germany can imagine a polyamorous relationship and every 24th person, in the USA, currently lives polyamorous.
