Tijen Onaran, daughter of Turkish immigrants, went into politics right after graduating from high school and ran for the FDP. In 2015, she initiated the regulars’ table “Women in E-Commerce.” At first, there were only 12 women, then 200, and at some point 2,000 women — without ever having to advertise. When companies increasingly sought after her advice on how best to recruit women for their companies, she and her husband founded “Global Digital Women” to advise businesses on diversity. Listed as one of the top 100 most influential women in Germany, Onaran impressively and very humorously tells us about her experiences with CEOs, why a women’s quota is needed and her own thoughts on the matter in the latest episode of the Anderssein podcast. It was a great pleasure, dear Tijen!
