After eight years at the helm of his eponymous label, Belgian-Italian fashion designer Anthony Vaccarello will now solefy focus on his role at Saint Laurent. The news follows a recent career move to the Parisian luxury brand as their new creative director earlier this year.
Vaccarello, who will most likely spend this extra time focusing on bringing his signature look of sexy and body-conscious design to the label, is a clear indication of the fashion house’s desire to reinvent itself. The creative’s first campaign for the house was released in June and serves as a metaphor for wiping the slate clean from Hedi Slimane’s previous grunge-infused era at Saint Laurent. A series of black and white portrait of 15 unknown models completely nude shot by Collier Schorr has been a teaser for what’s to come for the designer’s upcoming debut with the brand at Paris Fashion Week. Stay tuned for updates.
